Introduction to parent carer forums
Tuesday 26 April 2022
10.00am - 1.00pm, online
Come along to an informal and relaxed session to find out what parent carer forums are all about.
The session will be led by Gráinne Saunders and Gail Bedding (Independent Consultant Expert Parent Programme Trainers) and delivered in partnership by ESPCF and Brighton PaCC. It will offer a taste of how forums make a positive difference to special educational needs & disabilities (SEND) children and families in your area and invite you to become more involved in your local forum.
You'll have an opportunity to:
- Meet similarly interested people, talking about what a forum is – and is not!
- Listen to inspiring stories of positive action from current forum members
- Hear how being involved has helped parents & carers themselves
- Look at the different ways you can be involved, no matter your time or skills
There will also be a section on ‘looking after yourself as a carer’ which will benefit anyone who comes along to the session but decides that becoming more involved with the forum is not for them right now.
